Today's Inverclyde Now is painting a picture that seems to change my perception of all this. It looks now as though so complete arse thinks that charging for the Tele Online will reverse their financial decline. Aye right.

Quick update They have apologised most strongly, have told me they have no idea how it happened but they've fixed it anyway (yeah right!) , and have given me a free subscription to the newspaper. I was going to get a lawyer involved, but one of my more legal savvy friends told me nothing would come of it because "no harm was done". I still have a lot of worries regarding this as i doubt very much it was just mine and Tiddles account that was affected. Maybe other members should ask the nice man if their accounts are ok Thank you again Tiddles for the heads up and the e-mails. |

Linda talked me into getting a face book account, glad I did as through it I've got in touch with ex army friends from almost 30yrs ago and have now joined the AMS veterans FB group.
Through the group I've tracked down a young lass I served with in N.I.

I have just been shown the virtually 100% condemnation of the Tele's, 'paywall' on Facebook. It is only a matter of time before their advertisers pull out. Hell mend the greedy bastards. I also heard this morning that they are selling 27% less hard copy Tele's than they were last year.
Why don't they get the Aikman's in, they'll, 'help' them out with their renowned business acumen.

It has just occurred to me that every time we look in on the Tele, they will be using that to add to their, 'hits'. So, I shall cease checking them out from now on.

You can hit the main page, and even read the freebies, CFP will be looking at the "paid for" story page hits. If they look at it any other way then they're just fooling themsleves!

there's not one positive comment on that thread, in fact as you say tiddles they're getting a pounding about it.
Noticed another post where someone at the Tele has responded to some comments...laughable at best
