£2,000,000 for new offices? Which aren't new only a re-fit of a existing building

Why can't the council like everyone else rent a property?

Instead of spending our council tax on a waste of money project like this one

They don't even have the property department now, so why the need for more office space? Just wait, as soon as all this shite opens up, the redundancy notices will be sent out.

We once had a state of the art library but that is now to be relocated to the original building which dates from the turn of the century which was gifted by Andrew Carnegie. The temporary one is being housed in an old Presto shop.
