Hmm, I might have taken some of this guff in had it not been for the fact that St Arnold actually owned the, 'training' firm. Let's look a little closer at what the great Eunuch is telling us. He suggests that the youngsters who have been forced into this form of servitude are more or less layabouts.
Now when I was a lad, when someone wanted to enter an apprenticeship, the offer was made by and funded by the employer. It could be hard and it took up to five years but in the end, you were regarded as a tradesman and you were paid all the while by your employer. Quite clearly, the vast majority of these youngsters have as much chance of a full time job as flying in the air and if I were one of them, I'd give them bugger all too, in fact, I might be inclined to relieve myself in their oh so cheap cars. William Wilberforce would recognise this as slavery, nothing more but what makes it TOTALLY reprehensible is that WE are paying St Arnold to shit on our kids.
Let us move on to 2012 and we find that St Arnold not content with operating a monopoly of all car sales in Scotland, he has decided to enter the world of, 'training'. This is when you take unemployed but reasonably educated youngsters and use them as slave labour for as long as you need them. When they have outlived their usefulness, simply dump them and call them, 'useless'. Now this, GTG Training outfit is wholly owned by St Arnold but does Arnold pay anything for his little, 'slaves in training'? NO bloody way, he gets it all thrown at him by the poor bloody taxpayer in the form of Scottish Government funding. It costs St Arnold BUGGER all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The poor little bastards who are forced to sign up to this are paid a pittance and expected to do all that St Arnold and his mighty empire demand. It's a win-win situation for the Great Eunuch.
If St Arnold is such a caring employer, he'd have proper apprenticeship schemes and he would pay them proper under 21 minimum wages rather than set up a money-making, shadowy operation. Oh, and if you want to contact this shower of, 'helpful, caring people, you'll have to use an 0844 number.
