Why did Inverclyde Council not send in their Environmental Health Officers to properly inspect the ship, in my view, fumigation is a mere knee jerk reaction? EVERY member of that crew should have been checked out to see if they are carrying anything. I still think there is a common denominator and it is being missed.
If I had been a passenger on this apparent plague ship, I'd be visiting a solicitor with a view to raising an action for compensation. A refund is hardly enough for what has to have been utter hell.
Frankly, I'd rather have genital herpes than sail anywhere with that lot.
The port health team spent 30 minutes examining the ship and she was given the necessary clearance to sail from the port.
