Eh, no yur no, there's something seriously wrong with hygiene procedures on the company's ships. My own suspicion is that they have an asymptomatic carrier amongst their crews.
If it was me, nothing less than a full refund would do plus compensation. I gather it was like Russian roulette with passengers terrified to leave their cabins in case they were next. This is 2012 for God's sake, not the 1800s.

A spokeswoman for Fred Olsen said the latest bug was a viral infection which caused mild gastroenteritis symptoms.
She added that, while 170 passengers were affected, no more than 35 people were in isolation at any one time.
Affected guests were given strict hygiene guidelines.
The spokeswoman said: “At Fred Olsen, the health, safety and well-being of our guests and crew on board remains our priority at all times.
“We believe that our systems for preventing the spread of illness on board our ships are among the best within the industry.”
