PENSIONERS ready to be discharged from Inverclyde Royal Hospital spent a further 4,335 days in ward beds over eight months.

Well of course, if you don't look after them and make sure they get nourishment they'll not get better and when you do send them home, the Social Work Department couldn't care less so they end up back in hospital.

Perhaps they might want to make decent care of the elderly and frail part of the supernurse course at Paisley Tech/Uni???
