I'm surprised that Wilson called it "independence" and not 'separation' like most of (if not all) the other anti-independence folk refer to it as.

Of course, we must remember that 5 years is a very long time and lots of things can happen including independence.
I get the impression that Wilson would support the Trotsky Party if it suited his aims. Now he'll get to keep all his little sinecures and freebies. And as to Ahlfield, I'm not one of his fans, he doesn't fool me with all his self-promotion.
