inverclydenow.com/news/local/7100-nursing-students-get-pioneering-route-into-degree-courseThis kind of shite just makes my blood boil. "Care and Administrative Practice"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What in the name of buggery is that? This pish is to create another bunch of time wasting eejits who have never so much as smelt a full bedpan. The only way to train nurses is to have them on the wards and dealing with patients hands on. As usual we'll find these, 'supernurses' hiding in their little cubby holes drawing up plans and thinking great thoughts. Not one of them would even think of asking if their, 'patients' has eaten. This is 'Travel and Tourism' or 'Health and Beauty' in a white tunic. A PILE OF PISH

i agree with you tidds....the best training is on the spot training were you do all jobs no matter how dirty.....you cant get the knowledge that you need for that sort of job in books....hands on all the time

Have you seen half of the nurses here at the weekend in the clubs, no wonder the population feel fear entering that building.
Get the young people who really want to nurse but are not very academic into the hospitals, just because you find it hard to write things down dos'nt mean you are daft, it most cases it means you are a do'er.
Terminology is worth piss if you cannot apply it. Today nursing is a job, it used to be a vocation, most of todays nurses thing vocation means vacation.
