When oh when is less better??? This exercise is a joke and someone should be shot. The Clyde Square Library was and to a great extent still is a state of the art library. How the hell is an old bank any replacement? One of Inverclyde's last drops of civic pride is is being poured down the drain.

Writer Shari says she is delighted to be asked to do the honours at next

week's opening ceremony.

there isnt enough room in that building nor in wallace square......what are they going to do with all the books they have...burn them!!!

You know, I bet they actually do that. Some of the stuff they have is quite valuable. It really makes me angry when I see this beautiful, purpose built building being turned over to what is basically the Social Work department.

Why this sudden need for office space? They gained loads of space when the Housing Department went and there will be lots of empty desks when the redundancies are read out. Someone is building an empire at MY expense....

Yes and RI wants to build another office building. I'd make them use their stinking sugar sheds as office space.
