I hate the sight of Billy Connolly but I agree that the Queen is an irrelevance to the people of Scotland. She regards us in rather the same way as Queen Victoria ie., a romantic land of heather and stout but couthy men and subservient women who make the meals on an old range.
Every year she comes up to Holyrood and Balmoral to engage in some faux Scottishness and she sees us as quaint serfs rather like one of her obscure colonies.
I remember being very angry years ago when she told parliament that she, "cannot forget that she was crowned Queen of the United Kingdom". Who the hell did she think she was, this unelected woman from a family whose right to the throne is obscure to say the least has no mandate to tell us what we should and should not have.
Let us be done with her and her dysfunctional family and declare the Republic of Scotland, a nation governed by the people and for the people. Oh and we certainly don't want the Stuarts back!!!!!!
