Good idea PROVIDING the training is stringent. The last thing anyone collapsing for non-cardiac reasons needs is to be zapped by some feckless deck hand. These devices can and do save lives but there have been quite a few documented cases of people being despatched because of either improper use or misdiagnosis.
I keep one in my car but then I know how and when to use it.
