The 60s was "fab"....short, short dresses and all that great music. Mods on their scooters with far too many rear vision mirrors but great fashion sense - maybe they liked to look at themselves in those mirrors. Flower Power and Psychedelia - but I never knew anyone who took drugs (honest). It was a great decade for young people.

Ahhhh a difficult question to answer, in the early 60's I wore a nappy, in the late 60's I wore shorts Music wise I listened to whatever my parents chose to listen to ;D The very first song I remember really liking was "King of the road" by Roger Miller.. My mum used to listen to a lot of Jim Reeves... And of course she was a Sound of Music fan and I got dragged to the pictures with her and forced to watch it several times

Apart from The Beatles, my favourite music of the 60s came from America - Otis Redding, Four Tops, Temptations....anything under the Tamla Motown label. We used to dance the night away at the Rankin Park Community Centre on a Saturday night to the Silhouettes (local band) who played all the Tamla Motown stuff. It was always a good fun night and I don't remember any trouble.....no alcohol allowed in those days from what I remember.
