we have school kids that come over to our club to see boats being built, the plans that we use ect....and then they have a sail with the scale boats and yachts....they have fun but learn at the same time as it takes in maths.....the kids are from not only primary but secondary as well and we get a lot out of it

Greetings and Salutations to you all !!
I once sank a boat you know.....I was touring in the 60 footer and had had a few 18 year old Highland Parks (much better than the 12 year old I may add) and didn't notice the blighter off my bow....anyway where was I ? Ah yes - I was leaving Hong Kong with the idea of a surprise visit to and old lady friend of mine in Taipei (if you know what I mean) when there was an almighty crunch.....it was certainly a Junk by the time my 60 footer went through it....oh - good lord !! do you think I should have stopped to see if the oiks were ok ?? Ah well.

Actually I was being flippant about the irony of the JWC teaching people about how ships sink when their own, 'ship' is holed below the waterline. You're right, they'd have spent their time much more productively visiting the Murdie because I'm quite certain that most people there could have told them about buoyancy and watertight bulkheads

I have always planned to visit this thing but stopping in Dumbarton for anything seems such an extreme thing to do

we are always looking for a place to test our boats and subs...i wonder if they would allow us to test in that tank.........the last time we were looking into that the baths at the waterfront were going to allow us....then they phoned us and they said they would book us in and it would cost us just over £30....we offered to check their tiles for any cracks as pat's sub has a camera in it....we didnt bother with them........we are always on the look out for a place to check our boats

The rafts were built and tested in their tanks.
