www.greenocktelegraph.co.uk/news/greenock/articles/2012/03/30/426407-council-candidates-announced/Well there we have it, a pretty mixed bunch. Some are vagabonds, some are mountebanks, some are tolerable and one or two need putting into care. There are a few who should be nowhere near a polling station: David Wilson (Thatcherite scum) Robert Moran (Moron) Bob Burns (too old with too much time on his hands) Michael McCormick (Giggling imbecile) Harry Osborn (must be about 100 years old and another Thatcherite) Martin Brennan (nice guy but obviously his advanced years, at least 70, have clouded his judgement and pushed him into Labour) Drew McKenzie (Looks like a self-interest candidate and might well vote with the Tories) Graeme Brooks (Has a holiday home on the Moon and has Jesus as his bestest pal, more to be pitied really) Jim Clocherty (Rubber gub) Charlie McCallum (Back to filling in those forms, TRUTHFULLY THIS TIME!) Joe McIllwee (Sycophantic troglodyte and best pal of St Nell) Bill Crawford (Thatcherite non-entity) Ronnie Ahlfield (Nominally independent but tends to vote for Labour on most issues) Terry Loughran (As much use as a hat in a hurricane and the architect of the dreadful Clydeview Academy fiasco) Iain D McLeod (A vicious, bigotted, right wing buffoon who should never have been adopted by ANY mainstream party) Ralph Roberts (Sorry SNP, but I'd rather have a Labour council led by Robert Moran than see this trojan horse elected) Gerry Dorian (feckless vote fodder more suited to buying a chinkie meal than sitting in the council) Peter Campbell (Didn't he stand as a Tory candidate a while ago? ) Colin Jackson (er...no) Duncan Simpson (Arse) These are just my observations and comments, let us see yours!

Peter Campbell (Didn't he stand as a Tory candidate a while ago? ) no he was UKIP man withe the mama mobel he has a house next to brooks on the moon Yes indeed he is right far far far away out there. He used to comment in the Tele sometimes - invoking god n stuff and plenty of other tinfoil hat wearing new world order stuff. He has stood for UKIP in the past too, his sort of paranoia is well placed there - they must have gotten fed up wae his mad ideas too - which is saying something - think he sees himself as a budding david icke

Just had a leaflet delivered on behalf of Councillor Loughran in Gourock. It starts off with the economy of truth that he is a teacher and that a new Saint Columba's is being built.
I have no problem if he had described himself as a retired teacher - for that is what he is. To drop the retired bit seems to create the impression that he is still plying the teaching trade. Perhaps he or any of his acolytes would like top come on here and tell me where this new mystical Saint Columba's is being built? I am aware that Gourock High is being refurbished into something which, in Councillor Loughrans own words, will be as good as a new school but that is not the same as a new school. The warranty period on new build is only one year so I hope that it is extended on refurbishments.
What is more dissappointing was the leaflet delivery person did not want to engage in a polite discussion regarding the above points. Granted I may have come across as a ranting angry voter shouting accusations about lying and misleading the voters but at least a cursory acknowledgement of my gripes was prefereable to the shake of the shoulders and stating that "I think he is retired..." before scurrying off in the general direction of away.

I think Terry Loughran retired the day he was born. The Labour Party mob have never liked their literature being held up to the light. It is designed for people who see the red bits and move on. Jim, if I may ask, why did you not stand this year, the town needs people like you?

Peter Campbel has got serious problems last time I seen him he was trying to set up a charity as he had a cure for cancer (I know he lost his daughter to it and grief does funny things to people and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone)
But he was going around with a photo of her IN HUR COFFEN saying that the NHS had murdered her.
now thats taking it a bit far even for UKIP
