No, no. He thinks he is in Pixieland and we are all his wee pixie chums. He is harmless and pointless and not really what his constituents need.

£26,000 for the torch.......now we are all supposed to take part in this and really enjoy the event as it will be a once in a life time thing........ with folks getting their benefits cut, food prices going up, utility bills going through the roof and rising unemployment i can think of better things to do with that money

Well, here'and idea, if the torch goes past Clune Park, maybe they could use it to set light to the place, mass improvement!

its supposedto go along high carnegie, all the dope heads will be runnin out to get a light for their joints high carnegie is quite a nice residentiaal street are you not thinking of carnegie which is on the Glasgow rd next to fife park terrace, well it was its been knocked doon noo. High Carnegie is just off of clune brae, on the road down to the cemetery top gate, there's nae junkies there, most of the residents have been there since the hooses were built in around 1972. And bought them aff ra coonsil, my aunt n uncle have lived there since the hooses were built. The only other buildings there are on the river side of high Carnegie rad, they being the old Roadhouse pub which were converted to flats over 10 years ago, and new private hooses built behind the roadhouse building, no junkies there either.

I wonder if old Wilson will get a picture of himself leaning against the torch to put in the Tele ?
Anyone that gets excited about these olympic games needs to get out more.

Why don't they run it through Kelburn Park, I'm sure it'll have some, 'scrap' value and the bearer could be kept as a slave

you know if it goes ahead expect someone to piss from the top of a tenament to extinguish the torch, now that would be an impressive aim

I almost feel a wee letter coming to the tele on this…
£26,000 - just so McCabe and Wilson get to have some photos. Don't get me wrong, w're all paying a hell of a lot for the English to have their Olympics, and bugger all of it is coming back to Scotland, so we should grab what we can, but we're paying £26,000 for what, exactly?
Bunting? Police escorts (surely that's the IOC's problem!)?! Sod that. Spend the £26,000 on something useful. If you want to get into the olympic spirit, spent that 26k on local athletics facilities, that's a couple of pitches right there, or maybe a couple of sports scholarships to some promising locals or something…
But not, £26,000 for the plod to guard a torch, and of course, I'm sure there will be british flags to hand out galore (no saltires allowed!), courtesy of Johnny taxpayer.

I hope the weather is vile with rain and cold winds. With any luck, McCormick and that pernicious old get, Wilson will be out of office. Oh and I hope Lord Coe Coe is plagued with piles for the duration of the games and that he also suffers from involuntary bowel flatulence so that he toots every time some dignitory goes near him. He's a sleazy little pump anyway Nyaaah!

Hmmmmm wonder how much it costs to hire a crop duster and fly over releasing a liquefied mixture of shite, rotten eggs, liquidised rotting cabbage and liquidised used disposable nappies?
After all shouldn't "Recycling" get in on the act somewhere ;D
BTW nothing will be given to the majority of England either, all those kick backs from the Olympics will be staying in London, so the majority of England will be in the same boat as Scotland for this farce...
