I loathe doctors who train for years in a caring profession and then bugger off to be a politican or as in this case, a babbling arsehole.

After much debate (A thoroughly firey discussion) with some boffins of my acquaintance, we have come to the conclusion, that this project deserves to classified as "Baws"!

Oh great win a bike and get run down on the road, we take our lives in our own hands when we do a sprint through the mall so as not to breath in the soak fumes and the zebra crossings there is another sprint and getting a doctors appointment is a stay awake for 24 hours marathon for a appointment and then their is the waiting game when you phone the police, pacing for at least 3 hours and there is the Triathlon running to the DSS to get papers stamped to prove you are unemployed 1 hour, dashing to the rent office handing over papers, sitting 1 hour then spend 30 minutes for them to get imformation from the DSS to prove you are who you say you are, and finally the sprint to get the postie to send the letter to the DSS offices in Glasgow for them to send the papers to Greenock to give them the go ahead.......................who needs excercise

Had a appointment with the doctor today and as far as I can gather she is reading up on Fibro, so that helps. Here I am once again trying out a new drug and keeping my fingers crossed that this will alleviate my symptoms, however, I shall not give up..........................I will batter these dishes clean and hoover the places people can see lol.

Yes indeed it is Linda. It really isn't a disease as such but a collection of symptoms and is more accurately defined as a syndrome.
People who have it go through sheer hell as they tend to have pain everywhere and even cystitis. The big problem for us when diagnosing this disorder is the absence of any one method of detection.
I would NOT make a diagnosis of Fibro, it is best left to the experts, the Rheumatologists. They have the latest information on it and have knowledge of the latest therapies and treatment plans. Any patient who has symptoms should discuss it with their GP with a view to obtaining a referral to the specialist. If your GP won't do that without a very good reason, you need a new GP.
It used to be thought that fibro was a psychiatric problem and whilst there are still some clowns out there who continue to believe it is, the rest of us know that it is only too real. That's not to say that sufferers don't have problems with depression, let's face it, if you are confronted with multiple pains day in day, you'd go a bit off.

Your right tiddles, believe it or not it was a eye test that finally got me diagnoised, went through the usual tests MRI etc the doctor I saw looked at my notes and asked me what had been happening I told him that i did not know if my brain was trying to catch up with my eyes or vice versa. Anyway he said did I realise that I had been explaining those same symptoms for over 12 years and nobody wanted to know what was going on.
The worst doctor I was sent too at the Southern General told me it was all in my head, I thanked her for telling me I had been wearing someone's else's head for over 12 years. I phoned my doctors surgery that day and demanded a test for RA, came back positive, went to a Rheumatologist who diagnoised me with OA and FM, the other things come under the heading of fibro related.
So you see it could be worse I could have RA as well, but I have been informed that even proving positive does not mean you will get it.
Remember going to the nurse at the doctors one day and she said I really needed a appointment and get my blood pressure seen to, did'nt bother for 6 weeks, ended up at a heart specialist, cat scan, MRI. spinal tap, my bloody head was spinning. ait seems my blood pressure was so low, they did'nt know how I was walking about...................that was the start of fibro over 12 years ago, they diagnoised 2010
I need a rest now lol
