i have never heard of it though i rent our house....i wonder if anyone else on this site is an owner occupier and if they have heard of that yes owner-occupiers have such charges too - it's all part of the factoring costs and you are legally obliged to pay it - within reason. Doon here on the estate next to hours the residents have to pay for grass cutting, upkeep etc - it is nothing to do with council. If anything is vandalised or damaged they have to pay for that too. They change their factor/maint. company on a regular basis - I think the pay a couple of hundred quid a year It is in the missives

we have bought flats in our court and if anything is done to the flats they have to pay a portion of the bill....we have 95 houses so they have to pay a portion of the costs....its not worth buying a house in high flats

i had to laugh the coucil had a meeting to see what they could do about people leaving the area its top of the list for this , Working with private developers and social landlords to look at options for giving people incentives to move to Inverclyde was one of their ideas to get people here yes sure so they can get ripped off by riverclyde and larkfield housing association, its got a good rail and bus links you are cheaper at times to use your car and Mc Kenzies face in the paper all the time is enough to put anyone off coming here

Well neartic what would you expect with the bold Chiana having a pub, I hate the pubs here.
I have always thought that school are the way to change the attitude of the young and introduce them to other clubs and groups that enhance their lives, sure you have the yob culture, the wanna be's and will never be's. You see in Greenock the young are rewarded for bad behaviour, the good have to get on with it as as there is not much if any encouragement from our society, the good young get on with it working towards their key of freedom ( education ) and do you think for one minute they want to stay in a place that has never done anything for them . This council is so stupid, I agree for once with Jim Mcleod, yes this town is basically run on the back of pensioners and therefore will be the biggest employers one day.

The ( SHAGPACK ) RI have just informed my brother that they will be charging 500 pounds for the upkeep of his house and the others in the area, I won't go into detail of his answer but it kind of went like
Don't think so , go and clean up the building at the end of the terrace, thats yours the other 3 are bought and we do our own work. Taking into consideration that your building is a disgrace and is pulling down the tone of my building, and if that is a sample of your work......shove it..................where the sun don't shine.........would you like it in writing and would lawyer paper do.................I wount tell the rest as some people my be offended lol
