from the telerag bosses from sainsbury,s have announced that their new store in gourock will open next summer and it will create 25 new jobs. the firm will launch a recruitment drive to find the staff for the shop which will be built in kempock street gourock. councillor david wilson, chairman of inverclyde planning board voted in favour of the development said of his delight at the news and the job boost for the area.

its only creating 25 jobs and i bet you after it opens and is running they do away with most of the staff... our daughter got a job in littlewoods when it first opened...oh it was great for the town...yea it brought in a lot of jobs but only for 6 months....after the 6 months was up littlewoods got rid of most of the staff as they werent needed, my daughter being one of them. then she got a job in tesco's weststuart street...this was great.....she was kept on as they were moving to their new premises....after a few months again a lot of the staff were paid off as they werent needed.....so i wonder how long this is going to take before most of the 25 are paid off
