a young girl from margilvray avenue went missing yesterday around 2.30pm thursday.
she had left the family home to go to the nearby shops in sinclair street and never returned home, parents janice and ernie mcmillan raised the alarm at 6pm..
police are viewing CCTV footage from cartsdyke station after a possible sighting of the teen at 2.45pm at cartsdyke court.
when she left she had no worries and she was going to the shop to buy the telegraph.
the parents said they have tried to phone her and have left messages and also messages on facebook but they have heard nothing.
the police have spoken to her boyfriend and friends but they have no information.
mum janice said its totally out of character for her, i just want her to walk through the door...
melissa was wearing a cream barbour jacket, denim shorts, tights and brown boots when she was last sighted.
just went into her facebook and it seems that she has been found...22hours ago...the rag dont seem to update their news
