Exactly! FFS - do people need the nanny state to do everything for them? Or is it just a job creation scheme for twats who wouldnae know a real job if it fell on them

Befor you know it, there will be exams on bringing up kids with rewards for those who are doing it by the governments rule book. Maybe old Adolf had the right idea all along.

If you need to be taught how to care for your children, you should not be having children. Why don't they just be honest with us and say they mean junkie parents? Left to me, I'd put a little something in their methadone to bring the breeding to a stop

My mother was apt to clatter me with her high-heel shoes and when I would protest my father would say, "be quiet boy and let your mother hit you". Good to see you back Roddy boy!

Parenting classes; probably a good idea in general. Especially for young first-time parents - being well off and not being a scum-bag doesn't mean you know everything about being a parent if you've never had cause to look after kids before. Obviously most people, especially any that aren't "undesirable", will buy a ton of those self-help books and get the stuff the midwifes talk about etc, but all the same, education of any kind is never a waste.
That said, this is clearly aimed at those members of society without the wit to read a book or the savvy to find one. Necessary? Possibly. But a sad reflection of the times.
* For reference, myself and the other half are planning on having zero kids, which is just as well since I am completely useless with kids under 10, and criminally dangerous with the under 5's. Although I don't see anything wrong with the cage one in that cartoon up there - exactly the same as the crib thing, just has a roof on it.
