The only truly great Gospel Singers are all Black, when I lived in Southall we had a wee church just at the end of the road and the music was fantastic. The people who attended really putting their hearts and souls into the music, best of all it wasn't just inside as they would often overflow in to the street.
Caused a stir with the local Asians on many occasions.

Mahalia Jackson was superb but all these guitar strumming God botherers make me queazy not only that, apparently you don't have to be able to sing either. Inclusiveness is wonderful, isn'y it?
