inverclydenow.com/news/local/6452-council-looking-at-renewed-fair-trade-effortWhat? ? Away and get a bloody grip of yourselves, more little meetings and groups with more councillor allowances and hight teas. Inverclyde is one of the poorest areas in the UK and old people ARE actually starving and freezing and you want to waste my money on this shite??? It wasn't fair trade when Port Glasgow became Tesco-Town and 'mysteriously' Tesco were granted permission to build a petrol station right next to a well established and busy one. And where was our, 'fair trade' council when Tesco were allowed to have three supermarkets with 4 miles of each other? Now you want to help the poor starving hordes of Africa...bloody well help your own townsfolk first!!!! You are pernicious scum Inverclyde Council.

I'll most likely get shouted down but I have NEVER, EVER tasted a, 'fair trade' product that isn't utter crap. The tea is nothing but floor sweepings after the proper stuff has been shipped off and the chocolate tastes like Ex-Lax.
Come on Nell, let's hear your opinion on this or do you represent the pensioners in Kampala too?

Some fair trade stuff is actually quite good
M & S do a nice line in fairtrade chinos, usually aboot £15 quid a pair - the blue wans fade quickly but the beige* (oops) sand coloured ones are ok
* wouldn't want you lot to think I was ancient because I wear beige gear
