our roof in the club has been leaking for years and its getting that bad that i think we should put a shower curtain round it..
its a shame as the building is well over 100 yrs old and the oldest model boat club in scotland....

greenock yacht and power boat club..
unfortunatly we cant put in for grants as that is up to our committee..we get grants through the year although its not a great deal....we take memberships and that helps pay for the upkeep of the place...

our committee have a couple of its members that dont like to think we know things about grants...one in particular would hate it if you advised him in what grants you could get....
2 yrs ago 17 of us got together to get rid of him and although most members backed us when it came to the crunch they all backed away and supported him.......he has been there since he was a lad and sometimes he thinks the place belongs to him...

unfortunatly you get that were ever you go......little hitlers trying to weild power but eventually with time that power get's less and less.....those sort of folks are only like that cause they have been around the place too long and they think the place belongs to them

tell the guy if he dos'nt get his thumb out the building will be condemmed,and he may be forced to find the money for a whole new build, then again the council may just have it earmarked.
The devils advocate works well, options are wonderful, and more's the pity he can't see the advantages grants can give the club.

well if he pops his clogs we do have a boat big enough to stuff him in and i'll get the bow and arrow and even provide the lighter....then again the 2 of them would kill off the food for the swans
