NO bus operator in Inverclyde exists other than with the consent of the McCorleone's. I was told many years ago that Wilson's were part of it all so it's a publicity exercise.

jock and i printed out our own invites and envelopes and they were lovely then we printed out the hymn sheet with the same picture on it....since we were having a buffet jocky did all the meats and even tomatoes roses...it was lovely and such a special day as we did most of the things for it..
since both of us are not religious and we both dont belong to a church and we didnt want a register wedding either we approached the salvation army....yes they would do it and make it the way we wanted.....with jocky having IBS and it could strike at any time that was even sorted that the wedding would be stopped till he went to the toilet.... our wedding was fantastic and had a lot of laughter in it.....the guy that married us made it really special and all they wanted was a donation...since the both of us dont have a big family or a large network of friends we used the hall for our reception and then went to a club at night with the guests.....marvelous

Our's was the exact opposite of that rather pleasant sounding arrangement. It was all too much and we were both glad when it was over!

At ours - we aren't very religious but a family friend was a minister - he offered to do it for us in the Gantock Hotel. - The mater twisted his arm.
Anyways surprisingly he was really ambivalent to all the religious twaddle, we met him down at the Gantock so he could see how it would be set out. He was looking a bit knackered and we asked him if he was coming down with anything- it was at Easter time - he told us that he could see all this Easter nonsense far enough - I sprayed my coffee everywere.
He then gave us some sheets with different types of vows on it, saying us them if you wish or make up your own - if you dont want anything religious thats ok - it's no skin aff his back he said.
At the wedding he played a blinder - he done the MC bit at the reception too - it was a saturday, he found out who everyone supported at the wedding, read out the results for them at speeches time wae a few jokes too

I wanted ours to be on a warship conducted by a naval chaplain but my father who was angry about my leaving the NHS to join the navy would have none of it. In the end we agreed a compromise. Wedding in Glasgow Uni chapel followed by a reception in the Albany Hotel in Glasgow. Total pain in the arse and the money could have been better spent. Unlike your minister, ours was a boring old get. Still, the honeymoon was good

i am still on honeymoon 9 yrs on..... my friend spent thousands on her wedding and to be honest i would have rather spent the money on the house as they were in the process of buying......why spend all that money for one day when you have a life time ahead of you... jocky and i have been able to go on a cruise the year after we married, belated honeymoon...have been to australia to see my 2 sister's and family...first time we have all been together for over 30 yrs....have been to amsterdam...we couldnt do that if we had a very expensive wedding....ours wedding was all about us and our life ahead...

We actually paid for most of the wedding ourselves. My wife has three younger sisters so that kind of precedent would have given her poor mummy and daddy the vapours. I'm a poor wee only child and half an orphan. This Grouse is going down very well tonight, it's been a vile week. Hopefully the Frauschen won't confiscate it. The best way to avoid that is to refrain from swearing and singing
