I bet they try to screw the owner occupiers for the bulk of the, 'questionable' exercise. Has anyone noticed that the Tele has opened the, 'free reads' to comment again... ??

Aye, and I also noticed a few comments in some of the pay to read as well. Not as many as there used to be though.
As for RCH, was at a meeting on Thursday and some rents are actually comming down, some by about £3, not much but at least it's something.

I bet they try to screw the owner occupiers for the bulk of the, 'questionable' exercise. How come? Half the cost met by the Council just for filling in the form. I've heard of a lot worse deals than that and I wish I could get half the price paid for repairs to my house.

looking forward to march when they decide what is happening to our building If i've read your other posts right then your building hasn't been upgraded like the rest of them but is still full and with a waiting list? If that's the case then what is there to decide? Bit of a no-brainer imo. It's not as if they can demolish yours and build 90 back and front doors on the site. The two further up the hill appear to be in terminal decline though.

Aye we have a great court Winston, the guys doing the survey reckon that if they knock the block down the max new build will be 4, 2 bedroom houses. They also said that the flats have another 30 odd yrs life left in them.
Taking the above in to account RCH will still not commit to the flats until the board approves.

a lot of the tenants have been here since the flats were built and they dont want to move...most of them came from back/front doors with gardens and have done their time with that so dont want to return to it.....they have good neighbours who are there for them if needed, its like a community in the building....if they take this building down they destroy the community then again RH dont really care about that...yea winston we are basically full apart from i think 2-one bedroomed flats..

our court is quite popular and not many move out, they die...shouldn't laugh at that but its true...we get ambulances orpolice for sudden deaths or hearses outside.. the building is in good nick but inside needs upgraded ie....new toilets...ours i think has been in since it was built....new kitchen's...the units are really dated and old....asbestos needs to be taken out from between the kitchen and bathroom, the windows are useless and the heating vented system is crap....its going to cost a lot to do the work but its going to cost them more to do a knock down and rebuild a few houses.. are you just up the street from us in broomhill street?

this is getting confusing now. I typed my response to Jock whilst you were posting. I reckon Jock did actually think I was 'Whitesttler' and I was saying he'd have to wait as I wanted a new cupboard. Probably because he hadn't seen the Tele comments section.

Someone with 'issues' who has commented in the Tele on the RCH investment story.
It's funny in a sad sort of way.
