inverclydenow.com/news/local/6397-lottery-cash-for-school-sport-activitiesWhen I was a lad, schools provided this sort of thing as a matter of course. And good luck to them in getting, 'volunteer coaches'. The hoops that to be jumped through for anyone who wants to do this kind of thing are mind-blowing. The odd thing is that the ones they catch for kiddie fiddling have already been vetted. Anyway, I would imagine the take up for this by pupils will be minuscule!!!!!

If kids get fewer, 'Happy Meals' and more proper cooked food obesity would be much less of a problem. I wonder how many of today's young mothers would know how to make a stew or mince and potatoes. How many would know what to ask for in a butcher's?

when the school was opened across the street what suprised me was the amount of kids that would go and buy those noodles in a cup and a packet of crisps....there is nothing in them........i went to a meeting in the school canteen and had a wee look at their menu's and the food sounded good...dont know what it tasted like though....but i bet it was better than the noodles....

I would make it rule that under 16's should not be served food in outside premises between the hours of 12:30 and 1:30.

that is a good idea.....i dont know how they can concentrate without a proper meal in them.... when i was working i just had time for a potion of chips and within half hour i felt really tired and i had difficulty working....how they can work in school is beyond me when they are eating that rubbish.
even our hamster eats better than they do...he has his 5 a day...fruit and veg as well as his normal foods...
