from the greenock telegraph
mindless vandals have trashed an industrial artwork-and are using it as a dumping ground for rubbish. a circular metal sculpture located along the cycle track behind port glasgow has been daubed with paint and left strewn with old furniture,
pensioner dan mclean enjoys walking along the track to keep fit an dis appalled at the mess. he said one of the sights i most enjoy is the piece of art beside the cycle track which i call THE MAGIC CIRCLE. WHAT HAS HAPPENED IS SHAMEFUL, THIS IS VANDALISM IN THE EXTREME. where they have tried to destroy it by setting old pieces of furniture against it and trying to set fire to it, or damage it..it has been there for 2 weeks without anyone doing anything about it the police said that there has been any reports regards this but have condemned the culprits.

Mind you, contacting the council for waste disposal is fraught with problems. I have had my arguments with them many times of the years. Apart from the astonishing cost of uplifts, they never accommodate in terms of times. That department needs a very comprehensive overhaul.
