a masked robber who held up a shop at knife point but was recognised by a worker is behind bars..
anthony gannon, 26yrs tried to disguise himself with a scarf and wooly hat but was identified as a regular in the shop by a member of staff who was also his former neighbour.
sheriff court heard how gannon brandished a knife at shop worker jane bell at perview newsagents port glasgow and grabbed £400 from the till.
sheriff swanney told gannon that there was no alternative but custody and jailed him for 10 months

i cant see why with certain crimes they cant make them to the full time, there is no deterrent by sending them to jail with them knowing that they are going to get time off for good behaviour...let them rot in jail

And seriously, they get the FULL Sky package in Greenock Jail. It's unbelievable prison is meant to be a punishment but it is so cushy inside for these idiots jail is not a deterant |

yep. drugs are more freely available than in the outside world and no worries about paying the heating bills. Some of my wee old pensioners would love to be kept like that.

And seriously, they get the FULL Sky package in Greenock Jail. That's actually a good idea perhaps, remember before they got that in, they let a prisoner go to rent a video, he forgot to come back, surprisingly |
