'Consultation' usually means that the council leader and a few friends had a wee chat over a nice Tony Buckley meal, at OUR expense.

I hate having to back that fecker, but I stayed in Darroch Drive (one of the roads off Fletcher avenue) for 20yrs and most of what that passage says is pure pish, the worst thing about it was the litter from the schoolies!

Should probably add that my mother still stays there and has no compalints about the school there. My grandmother stayed there before us and never complained about the school.

yes, apart from unruly children and the attendant litter and noise, I have never seen much of a traffic problem.

I think the biggest problem with most schools is the amount of litter generated, since the school across from us finally closed it's doors, we are now able to see the footpaths and grass that surrounds our home.

when wellington was closing and the kids were getting all their stuff home they decided to throw it all around the back of our court.... i came home and found it so i went and got a few bin bags and picked it all up, by the time i was finished i think there was about 4 bags full.. i toddled across the street to the school with bin bags in hand and proceeded into were the office was and asked for the headmistress...
off course she wasn't in as she was at the new school so i just said "well this is for you" and proceeded to empty each bag over the counter right onto their floors and said " well its yours so you can clean up and make sure your kids don't do it again" i walked out with a grin on my face and an air of satisfaction

When we had Notre Dame next door the place wasn't to bad, probably because the head of the maths dept is a tenant here
