Surely some other company will buy it and the shops there will stay and, hopefully, new ones will be encouraged to move in. I hope so anyway. From what I've been hearing, the place isn't somewhere that attracts too many shoppers.

most people go to BREAHEAD for shopping and that shopping centre is like the one in australia its so big and with lots of choices

the Greenock tele is like the oak mall Irene useless, the mall should never have been sold to a company it should still belong to inverclyde

it was okay covering it over but they seemed to forget it was a through fair.....take the whole blooming thing down and start again but next time do it better......nothing ever belongs to the people of greenock..

this town is going to be full of lard asses and drunks, all this council seem to want is drinking and eating places now they want to pass planning for another eating and drinks place at victoria harbour, what a frigin dump this town is

i say take down the roof, take away the so called automatic doors that dont work and keep the place open the way it was, therefor lowering rents and rates...maybe we might get some good shops then.

yea and burtons is leaving the town, now how long has burtons been in greenock...i also heard that dorothy perkins might be going too........ghoastie town
