jocky and i are having a discussion on what an orc is tidds....i say a seal and he said a beefy cow lol..... This is why they invented google Linda... Our present-day conception of an orc or ork is one of a race of mythical humanoid creatures, generally described as brutish, aggressive and repulsive, stemming from the writings of J. R. R. Tolkien, where orcs contrast with the benevolent Elvish race. Tolkien developed his idea of the orc from the Old English term orc. The orc in any of its monstrous senses should not be confused with other words, including Gaelic orc, a Goidelic form of the unattested Proto-Indo-European *porkos 'young pig' and the Old Norse word ørkn 'seal'.

Perhaps they are like the Uruk-Hai. Of course we must note that Greenock is no Middle Earth, it is more like, Minas Morgul and the stuff that pours out of the Tele and the Labour Party is Black Speech.

Lord Of The Rings is pish - it was pish when I first tried to read it in the late seventies, pish in the 1980s at the second attempt and still pish to this day.

The Hobbit movie was cinematic urine and yes, Terry Pratchet's stuff is keech. Now, let us go wandering in the meadows of the West Farthing.

The worst book I've ever read I think, which is also the book that disappointed me most...was jack kerouac's On The Road, its complete and utter drivel

Keruac's book was the book that launched the hippie generation seemingly - they must have been really stuck for a book then.
It reads as if it was written by a primary school wean

Well in a way he was a big wean, a big drug-addled one.
