www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-22927206What an utterly pointless article, it is worthy of one of the Jephcote's silly outbursts. Yet again we see, 'footfall' up yet sales are stagnant and of course, how do you actually measure, 'footfall'? Are shoppers being fitted with chips??? Generally people who enter these clip-joint malls are there to window shop or get out of the rain. People are not spending money because they don't have it to spend and they especially don't have it to spend in the greedy, gasping and tax-avoiding stores that infest so-called shopping malls. The supermarkets have climbed aboard the gravy train and both ramped their prices up and cut down on quantities (subtly). At nearly £2.00 for a loaf, someone somewhere is making a killing.

I enjoy Lamb mince and usually buy it in Iceland £2.50, Tesco £2.75p the other night I was in Tesco and they are now charging £3. That's a helluva jump in 3 weeks.
