www.greenocktelegraph.co.uk/news/greenock/articles/2013/06/10/460325-tea-and-sympathy-at-vintage-party/Why is it always this church that seems to spearhead these initiatives? Where are the Catholics or the Church of Scotland followers? The Kirk is too fond of raising money for the homophobic and UN-Christian population of Malawi and the Catholic Church keeps it all or sends to its, 'missions' abroad where they can indoctrinate the, 'faithful' Charity begins at home and despite that fact that I am NO fan of fundamentalism, I have nothing but praise for this church's actions. If I believed in God, I'd ask him to bless you but as I don't I'll just say, 'Tiddles Blesses you'! Oh and full marks for doing something positive to raise funds rather than asking for sponsorship to climb Mount Fuji or some other load of tripe.

As usual, my emphasis on the direct quotes@ -
CASH raised from a fabulous vintage tea party is helping vulnerable people in Inverclyde.
The event aimed at bringing women from all walks of life together for a fun day out and to shake off the church's inaccurate out-of-date image.
Oxymoron anyone...

Yes indeed but the fact remains, they are doing something. As to their weird, narrow minded and illiberal corruption of the 'Christian Message', they can bugger off. My main assertion is they are at least trying to help the very many people in straitened circumstances, the other churches couldn't give a flying fuck about local poverty. Asking the Bristows to help them, 'interview' people was a BAD step. I wonder what ever happened to, 'Oxydol' ??
