It's about time someone did something about all this. There should be NO religious component to the curriculum of non-denominational schools. They are NOT, 'protestant' schools, they are secular STATE schools.
I have dire memories of having to sit through endless rants from ministers and screwed up, religion fixated teachers. usually all I got was nothing more than propaganda for a version of Christianity.
Well Mr Gordon, you let them off lightly, I would have had lawyers all over that one. It reminds me of the Graham Brooks, 'mission' where he was allowed and possibly encouraged to spread his, 'black speech' amongst adolescents in playgrounds and other places.
Religion has NO place in the classroom.

Before Easter, because the head teacher and my child's class teacher were not present, the stand-in took her to an evangelical church service expressly against my written instructions. After complaining, I received a profuse apology from the head teacher for the ‘assumption’ that this teacher had made.
