It is my intention to make a formal report regarding this outrageous meeting. The people in charge of this organisation need to be made more familiar with the, Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973
This act makes it clear that Community Councils must be devoid of all political involvement and bias.
Might they not have been better asking someone from NHS Scotland or the NHSGG&C Board to come along and address them? What possible information could McNeill pass on to them other than to spread anti-government and anti-SNP bile?
Let's take a look back to 2004:-

Who was in charge at Holyrood then? Who was MSP then and why did he not have something to say then? Deceitful SCUM
Sorry if this offends but I think Community Councils have had their day. Virtually all of their members are co-opted rather than elected which flies in the face of their contention that they are representative of their communities. Over the years I have attended many CC meetings all over the district and I came to the conclusion that they were basically a place for wee old pensioners to go for a night out. They also provide an excellent platform for crackpots to spread their lunacy. Then at the bottom end and you usually find this in poorer areas, CCs get taken over by, 'activists' who are usually card-carrying members of the Labour Party. Most people don't realise that £millions have been poured into these things over the years, it's obscene.
Now I don't know what political leanings Mr Rodger, Port Glasgow's CC Secretary has but I do find it interesting that he chose McNeil to come and speak rather than someone who can actually answer questions with validity. Sorry Mr Rodger, either you are playing politics or you are blissfully ignorant of the fact that McNeil is a borderline simpleton whose sole purpose in life, to the exclusion of everything is to bash the SNP.
The other guest is, Andy Chesnutt of Inverclyde Council’s Community Services department. That's be good, someone from the worst so-called service the council has, Social Work. You know, I am actually astonished that old Nell hasn't been invited or is her broomstick being serviced?
So good luck to Port Glasgow and it's imbecilic Community 'Council', you can surely do without the likes of McNeil and the Social Work Department lecturing you on how bad the SNP is and spreading fear and alarm amongst the general population.

The community council have invited Mr McNeil to the meeting to hear of possible threats to NHS services in Inverclyde. He will also report on other Scottish Parliament issues, affecting Inverclyde community directly, or indirectly.
Secretary Tommy Rodger said: “Community Councils should be advised of, and involved in, any community consultation regarding a review of changes to local services. Following Duncan’s report, we will contact the health board ourselves, to enquire what ‘community engagement strategies’ are being planned locally, for this service review.”
