From the Inverclyde Constituency Labour Party Newletter Feb. 2013:-
ain McKenzie MP
Over the next few months the Government’s controversial Welfare Reform Bill will come into force and as you will be aware, this Bill will have a serious impact on households across the country.
Here in Inverclyde, many will be affected by changes to tax credits, the introduction of the Bedroom Tax and the tougher sanctions that will be imposed by Jobcentre Plus.
I am a firm believer that our welfare system should be a hand up and not a hand out. However, what the Tory/Lib Dem Government fail to realise is that by forcing through these blanket reforms, they are hurting those who need help the most.
This Bill should remind each of us why we joined the Labour Party; to create a society that helps hard-working people get a fair start in life.
Britain needs real welfare reform that is tough, fair and, more importantly, that works. We desperately need reform that unites our country and takes our economy forward.
The Government’s current reforms are nothing more than divisive, nasty and misleading smears from an out-of-touch Government.
When Labour wins the next election, we will call on all MPs to vote for real welfare reform; a jobs guarantee that will end life on welfare for those who have been out of work for two years plus a fair system for those who are unable to work.
Now I'm used to reading shite from McKenzie the BIGOT but this really takes the biscuit and it's well seen he didn't get the Tele to print this for if it had been, all these pathetic half-wits who voted for him would see that he is a despicable ratbag.
These words are EXACTLY the same as Iain Duncan-Schmidt used when he announced his cull. Could BIGOT not even try to alter the wording?
Umm, sorry why should we need, "tough" benefit reform? Have you started reading the Daily Mail..mind you, that's your kind of thing, all that crass fashion and celebrity gossip!
The welfare system works as well as any system can, it is after all the birthright of every man, woman and child in this country and it was given to us by the REAL Labour party and not by your load of selfish, closet Tories (sorry about the use of the word, 'closet', I hope you and your dear parents don't have the vapours and fear the end of their 700 year old marriage).
Just before you lost the last Westminster election, your pals were telling us via the Daily Mail and the Sun that we were a nation of scroungers and that benefit fraud was endemic. Well Mr, every system is subject to abuse and there is NO evidence whatsoever for rampant benefit fraud, the lurid tales in the press notwithstanding. The VAST majority of benefit spending goes on old age pensions but then, none of you dare mention that because there would be riots as all the old buffers in the shires in their mansions would be gravely annoyed. There is of course MAJOR fraud going on in the House of Commons, little has changed since the major scandals a few years ago. Houses are still being flipped and some MPs even suffer from a new disorder known as, Domiciliary Amnesia which is a profound morbidity that results in the sufferer failing to recall who his landlord is. There are preliminary treatments such as one involving two bricks being applied to the cheenies!
I gather you are not at all happy with the comments about you on this board, well it's a free country even though your lot tried to change that, you are entitled to your opinion. However, the tragedy is, you are hopeless, clueless and mendacious. You are always careful to pee-hee to all your wee voters, "aye these Tories are destroying the welfare state" but you NEVER, EVER tell them that you SUPPORT and AGREE with the benefit cull. That my dear bigoted balloon, is evasion and deceit.
