So here's a bunch of filthy, feral people who habitually foul up everywhere they rest in addition to which they go around conning the unwary out of large sums in exchange for ropey, often unnecessary building work. Every time they rest their caravans (sorry, couldn't resist it), they leave a trail of appalling filth. Human excrement (apparently it's 'dirty' to shit indoors), nappies, papers, household waste, boxes, scrap gas cylinders..anything really.

Now I am not suggesting that we should abuse them but I do suggest that we should NOT be allowing them to abuse US! The council will take a green space and section it off for these people. Do they actually believe that they will suddenly stop behaving like animals? Do they think that the criminality such as missing metalwork etc., will vanish?

Well, here's exactly what will happen, word will spread fast that there is a gullible council which has built a nice 12 pitch site for them, free of charge with water laid on. Then we'll see many, many more of them and they will NOT restrict themselves to the, 'designated area'. Kelburn Park will become a full-scale tinker encampment and they'll come from miles around..hundreds of miles around! How lovely, perhaps the daft bastards in their tartan jackets might want to bring their cruise ship guests up there for a wee tour, they could take the opportunity to have a new driveway or perhaps some roofwork?? Mind you, Vanessa Redgrave might visit and the Tele can have ball writing about how big a star she is.

Tinkers are NOT gypsies, they are the remnants of bands of Irish and Scottish itinerant workers who worked on farms and repaired farm machinery thus, 'tinkering'. They are NOT a separate racial group like the gypsies and their so-called, 'culture' is aberrant and markedly anti-social.

In the absence of farm work, they have taken to fraud and theft, far from providing a service to anyone, they are effectively parasites. They pay no council tax, no TV licence, no National Insurance contributions. Their vehicles are often unserviceable and without tax and insurance and they have a, 'cultural' reason for any uncivilised thing they want to do. Their children are not cared for in accordance with the law and their females are regarded as property.

There are eccentricities everywhere but someone's CHOSEN lifestyle should never have a detrimental effect upon society at large. I you choose to pursue a policy of leaching off society or even preying upon it, you cannot but expect rejection.

It is plain that tinkers cannot live without us, but by God we can live without them. They MUST literally, clean up their act.

This is really a disgrace, the council 's priorities are up their @r$£, however the solution may be for ms Redgrave to invite them to stay on her grounds and even better leave them her property as designated sites.
