Is that all, there were 23 in July 2010, does that mean the council are getting paid to take them in or are they home grown ?. Do we have to put up with so much crime here and do we also have to put up with government councils etc thinking we are too daft to understand the implications of this piece of news. To hell with not naming and shaming, obviously our children do not need the protection that these sex offenders are getting, so why bring this up, all for a story and causing fear among families who don't know the enemy.

Sex offenders cover a wide spectrum of offences, its not all child related or even for that matter predatory With crime falling to a thirty year low, this is in fact a lot of pish, its nothing but sensationalism on the cheap. There's more chance of getting yer house broken into, your car nicked or a multitude of other things, as opposed to worrying about sex offenders. But never mind, there's nothing like a bit of mass panic to wind up the ignorant and the great unwashed, which the Tele seems to think make up the vast majority of their readership

The Tele should make more useful FOI requests, rather than the banal.
