From Inverclyde Now:
GREENOCK Rotary Club, in conjunction with the Stroke Association, are holding a Know Your Blood Pressure event on Saturday (20 April), at the Your Voice office in Clyde Square, Greenock between 10am and noon. High blood pressure increases the risk of stroke. Doctors and nurses will be on hand to measure blood pressure, free of charge. Stroke Matters Inverclyde representatives will offer advice on what blood pressure is and how to ensure it stays at a safe level.
Nearly every chemist shop in the land will check your blood pressure and offer advice and you wouldn't have to endure a bunch of rank tossers like the denizens of the Rotary Club. However, it does no harm to have your GP take your b/p every time you visit and if you don't visit, do so and give the lazy bastards something to do! (I'll get hanged for that comment!).
Jesus, is there anyone in the western world, apart from Provost Moron who doesn't know what blood pressure is?
