From Inverclyde Now:
A CHARITY hypnotism night, featuring Richard Roberts, is being held in aid of Glenfield Nursing Home, Greenock. It takes place at the Torpedo Factory Club, Chalmers Street, Gourock on Friday 24 May from 8pm. Entry is £5.
I wouldn't give this bunch of condescending, elitist bastards a single shilling. You'll not find many wee Aunty Rina's from Bouverie Street in there. I am almost tempted to go to the show in the hope that those pompous arseholes on the committee are made to cluck like chickens. Maybe the hypnotists can get some of them to speak in the real accents rather than that strangulated (oops sorry strengulated) one they all affect.
By the way, if your auld granda was in Rotary or the Junior Chamber, your Granny is a dead cert to get in. Anyone who worked in the mill as a baller need not apply!
