I actually had to switch this off because these days I have little control over my emotions and I am liable to sob uncontrollably at things like this. (seriously)
When I watch things like this I keep thinking of that rat bastard, Fatty Wilson and his, "Margaret Thatcher was the best prime minister we have ever had" outburst. How could anyone live in Port Glasgow and think such utter pish?

I put the funeral coverage on briefly in the hope that I would see some, 'outrage' but alas there was none..or at least none that was reported.
I have just watched the news and heard that Cameron has declared that, "we are all Thatcherites now". Well slimy old Etonian, bastard, no we are FUCKING NOT all Thatcherites now. I'd rather be taken to the centre of this wee village and have my throat publicly slit if I was ever to be a supporter of that foul entity and her vicious, evil party.
She goaded the miners into a strike and paid the police handsomely for hammering the poor men who only wanted to save their jobs and NOT as the media suggests, after more money. she deliberately demonised Arthur Scargill as a, 'Traitor' despite the fact that he was simply doing what he was appointed to do...protect his members' interests.
Michael (Mick) McGachy was portrayed as a communist spy and even worse than Arthur Scargill in the demonic scale. I had the good fortune to meet Micheal many, many times and was proud to call him and have him call me, a friend. He was a decent caring and helpful man who destroyed his own health helping his fellow miners. I not ashamed to say that I wept at his funeral.
When she had broken the NUM and succeeded in making the miners the national bogey men, she brought in that evil old scumbag, Ian McGregor to hammer the final nail in the coffin of mining in this country. When he finished the miners, he did the same to steel making and overnight, steel for shipbuilding became excessively expensive and our one remaining heavy industry was buggered. Of course it wasn't helped by arseholes like Donkey who kept dragging the yards out on strike for such things as a guy caught repeatedly doing crosswords during work time leaving his colleagues to do his work for him. Never once did McNeil strike for improved safety measures or that lack of proper medical provision.
She fucked ITV by ending the regional side of things and left it open to takeover by huge, anonymous conglomerates.
She dragged her loony theories to that old moron, Reagan who besotted with her, swallowed everything she said and so began globalisation and the end of western industrial might.
Some may shout me down but I firmly believe that she is responsible for all the fiscal and social ills of this country and probably the western world. She really was the, 'Iron Lady' with an iron fist. They keep crediting her and Reagan for the fall of communism but they weren't. The USSR was beggared and the cost of maintaining a huge defence programme was simply too much to bear. Gorbachev ended communism..end of story.
Her legacy? She destroyed my country. She was fully responsible for the death and maiming of many fine men in the Falklands war. She made proud men and women who would have died rather than claim benefits into poverty stricken, unhealthy wretches who have no other choice than to take them. She turned a country renowned for its compassion and fair play into a twisted, decadent wasteland where greed is good and caring is weak. She made utter scum multi-millionaires who prey on us and she set us up for Bliar and the meltdown of our entire fiscal system. She sold off all the state owned utilities so that now, when gas and electricity prices are being settled, shareholders (usually foreign) make the decisions and we the poor customers suffer under their boots.
Now mindful that I am near to the end of the road myself and the old, 'all is dust' scenario is not far off, I can say to you all that I curse her and her memory with all the strength I can muster. As most of you know, I despise religion but just for once, I wish there was a hell and then I could be sure that she is toasting and burning there being tormented for all eternity..sadly she is just deid.
The inscription on her grave should read, " I am become death, the destroyer of worlds"

i agree with you totally tidds......i was going to get up and watch that farce this morning but i thought ...bugger her and slept on.....i watched in horror at all the money that was spent on this farce just to say goodbye.....the news said that the people were 10 deep....i didnt see that.......well glasgow is having a party tonight so i hope they all enjoy themselves and send the bill to cameron.....
