The Council has proved that it can deliver a challenging and often complex improvement programme at a time when public sector finances are under immense pressure. Services are being delivered where they are needed most, and the Council wants to reinforce its commitment to generate a culture of improvement at all levels to deliver Best Value and service excellence.

We have ambitious plans for the future and will continue to drive forward our programme of investment in schools, leisure facilities and town centre improvements.
