The Tele recently reported how statistics from Skills Development Scotland showed almost 95 per cent of pupils in Inverclyde go onto higher or further education, employment, voluntary work and training

Ok, take the VERY small minority who go on to a proper university and gain a degree in one of the professions out of this pile of pish and what do you have? Well you have bizarre courses on music production, travel and tourism and health and beauty at the JWC

Music Production:

A bunch of wee wallopers jamming at the taxpayer's expense and dreaming of being Pete Waterman

Travel and Tourism:

Mostly wee lassies out the road of the buses.

Health and Beauty:

Adding to the already saturated barber count.


Then how about employment? If they are lucky, very lucky, they'll get a job working part time at the new Sainsbury's in Gourock at less than minimum, adult wage with no rights.

And,

Voluntary work and training. Well that's Tory speak for the Duncan-Smith Workfair programme which entitles you to a, 'placement' in Poundland, Argos, ASDA, AGE UK, YMCA England, Salvation Army, Sue Ryder, RSPCA, PDSA and MANY more. Basically you'll be a slave, the only training you'll get is how to wash the lavvies and the floors without payment.

Your much vaunted, "investment in new and refurbished schools and the standards of excellence our teachers and support staff set" has bugger all to do with it. Most kids here have no future and that's die entirely to YOUR party.
