www.greenocktelegraph.co.uk/news/greenock/articles/2013/01/16/443595-mp-promoted-to-shadow-office/news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/82591.stmSo essentially "Our Local Voice in Westminster" is now a hired help for the truly awful Margaret Curran. According to a previous PPS the position is "a thankless job. Despite having risen to the rank of MP, those with Governmental ambitions will need to pay their dues once more - as a bag carrier. Admittedly, PPS is a bit more than that - you are supposed to be the eyes and ears, reporting back to your boss all the gossip, what people are saying about your work in the bars and cafes of Westminster" It is an amazing oxymoron in the middle of the article: - firstly he is looking forward to "serving alongside my Labour colleagues challenging this Tory/Lib Dem coalition" whilst also pledging to "ask the tough questions of what independence really means for Scotland." - missing out the little bit of information that this will be done in conjunction with the Tory/Lib Dem coalition. Perhaps it is just me but I fail to see how he is "serving Scotland" in this role - serving his own interests and that of the Labour Party most definately, but Scotland's... I would like to offer my congratulations to the man on this promotion.... but I won't because I am a miserable git. ;D

So he'll be shite at asking questions and digging out info for that arch-liar curran
