This does seem a bit of an over reaction. Some wally goes on a roof to avoid being nicked. Wouldn't a couple of 'Bobbies' wait for him to get a sore bladder have surficed? If it was the USA they'd have shot him and saved the tax payers some cash!
There are definately too many iditos in Inverclyde. Time too round them up and sail them down the Clyde? Or maybe just chuck them in?

this is a reader talkback on inverclyde now-:On the same theme [as the cycling topic] but slightly different variation what about horses? One day last week it took me 20 minutes to get from Kilblain Court area to Barr’s Cottage -- the hold up: two police horses with their riders merrily riding two abreast with an ever-increasing queue of traffic forming behind! The Highway Code advises riders to “never ride more than two abreast, and ride in single file on busy or narrow roads and when riding round bends.” AH if it was stallions they were riding the prick is supposed to under the horse not on it back
