This is an old news item from way in the past, 1892, which many won't know about. The murderer in this instance was hanged in Greenock - oh, the good old days!!!

Strangely enough, this is from a New Zealand website. In those days, there was a permanent circus in Greenock, not the kind that moved around all the time.
