Well now I don't know either of these women and I have no idea, literally no idea whether they are as described in this article because this, "prestigious award" was given by their employers, Meallmore. In fact, this little bit of whimsy is nothing more than an advertisement for a Granny Farm company that has found a nice little niche as a provider of, 'care' services to local authorities, including Inverclyde. One of their operations is the much talked about, Kincaid House which the Hospice uses as a dumping ground.
Here's what their website tell us is on offer:
"Ah", you might think, "That sounds wonderful, almost hotel-like" but then you read the small print:
It doesn't sound so appealing now does it? How much is a, 'nominal fee'?
So are we to conclude that if you don't pay the nominal fee, you get none of the above? Could it be that the MAJORITY of people will never enjoy a late night snack or a choice of meals? Looks bloody like it. So basically, some poor soul who finds themselves in need of care will get dumped in there by the Social Work Department and/or their relatives to find that they will get nothing more than some take it or leave, 'meal' from a, 'prestigious award-winning' care worker and perhaps a quick wash if you shit yourself. Of course as personal laundry isn't included, you'll have to pay for that.
The Telegraph has allowed itself to be used for cheap and cynical advertising for a company that is in the business of profiting from the misery of others. Shame on the hacks of Crawfurd Street.

N.B. All of these services are included in the fees for privately funded clients. Clients with assisted funding may opt for the all-inclusive package for a nominal fee.
