www.greenocktelegraph.co.uk/news/latest/articles/2012/05/05/428447-james-has-exam-factor/The fact that this adolescent, full time student has been elected to Inverclyde Council just about sums Inverclyde up for me. It is a wasteland of thick, arseholes who are so stupid that they don't actually deserve a vote, for they are clearly, clinically insane or so seriously impaired that voting should be deprived. Do these daft bastards actually think they will be served by a full-time law student? It's not as though this wean is studying, 'music business' in the James Arse College. He will need to be studying and working every hour that is free to him and he'll have precious few of them. How in hell could anyone take this lad seriously? He knows NOTHING of life and clearly NOTHING of his constituents for if he did, he'd NOT have stood for the Labour Party. As Pvt Fraser used to say, "We're doomed, we're doomed"!

The irony is too, is that he's benefiting from a "free" university education due to SNP policy. If his own party had been in charge, he would have been racking up the debt big style

Fiona Cooke, nice girl who stood as a, 'paper' candidate and nearly dropped dead when she won. I'd lay odds she is not in the Labour party at all now.

From what I gather, she found quite a few skeletons in the cupboards and took fright. Strange thing is, Alan Blair never seems to have had any qualms about the council's fiscal improprieties.

she found davy jones locker (council pensions ) inverted trust, lies told to the land registration, money missing etc etc etc , funny thing you see, it has to be covered up as the council, law dept, land register , police etc never did their jobs.

I am not sure that young Mr McColgan is a law student. I have a labour election leaflet in front of me that has three smiling young people in the main picture informing the electorate that they have all been helped into work via the future jobs fund and other Council initiatives. Notwithstanding any concerns about the accuracy of that statement, the one in the middle I am sure is James McColgan...surely labour would not be so blatant about lying to the electorate, would they?

www.inverclydelabour.org.uk/inverclyde-east-candidate---james-mccolgan Like many other students, he works part time part time to fund his way through university. James previously worked with Inverclyde Council, successfully completing a Modern Apprenticeship within the IT department. He then worked with Dell for a period before starting university in September of last year. It's been a long time since I graced the grand hallways at Gilmorehill so I may be out of touch but is there a difference between studying Law and studying Law and Politics? Either way, he is a full time student and should NOT be a councillor. Perhaps he'd like to show solidarity with his UK Labour Party pals and pay tuition fees? ?? This facile little shit is studying at Glasgow Uni because the SNP stood up against tuition fees, if left to the care of his party he'd be doing a course in Travel and Tourism at the JWC. Nothing but a paper candidate gone wrong.

Yes his CV, if it can be so called, sounds a bit hyper inflated. Rather like the Undertaker who claims to be, 'procurement specialist' when in fact all he was simply the department filing clerk. Still if such falsehoods and shit get you a nice non-exec directorship and a seat in the house.....

sounds as though Dell/Hewlett Packard didn't have much time for him either. Still, he'll soon have his degree in noodle boiling and the Undertaker will dump the walnut whip and use him as his PPS.
