From the Tele:
About time too, I complained about this weeks ago and got stared at in amazement by some dopey youth who declared himself to be a manager.

Tesco doesn't have, 'brains' as such, it has a simple animal cunning enabling it to screw you out of all your money for overpriced tat.

Well I don't approve.
Demanding that the offer in Greenock Tesco is removed is an idiotic response which makes no sense.
How many of the wee fannies that run about with knives have gone to the bother of spending £100 on shopping in Tesco, saved their 5 coupons, taken up the 70% off offer then went on to stab someone in Greenock.
Without looking at any crime reports I'm pretty sure that the answer is none, absolutely none.
The only thing that's changed is that i'll now either need to go further afield to renew my kitchen knives or pay full price.
Cheers ya bunch of tits.

Most knife crime injuries & fatalities take place in the home.
The chances (if any) of any wee ned spending enough money to get the vouchers, then spending the money to get the discounted knife in the first place are somewhere between nane and fuck all.
Apart frae them getting them frae ra kitchen drawer, there's merr shops than you kin shake a stick at selling knives or similar in the area.
Why do we have to limit the freedoms of the vast majority of people, just because the local wanker MP is a complete fud.

If the brain dead little shits want a knife they could get them anywhere, perhaps their mother's kitchen?. Tesco withdrawing this offer is just inconvenient for the rest of us. Even if you have the vouchers, which these yoofs won't, the knives are still more expensive than most shops.

If a small shop from the town was offering a deal on knives, using say tokens from the rag, then most of the town would be up in arms, tesco's should be no different
All retailers should show some responsibility in regards to knife sales
As for ruining it for the rest of us, I used to shoot with an air rifle, legally and out of harms way of course. After that young child was killed in Glasgow I haven't went shooting again, mainly because of that incident, so in effect the evil bastards involved ruined it for me, but I have no problem with tighter restrictions being put in place.

Was in Tescos in the Port for the shopping this morning knives offer now withdrawn.
FFS absolutely ludicrous state of affairs. They have had merr complaints about withdrawing the offer than they had about it.
Whit next, as most knife crime takes place in the home, will they be making everyone hand in their knives.
Whit next, coz some erseholes knocks someone doon, are they going to ban car sales.
That fukker Mckenzie needs a good fekkin boot in the bawz as a reality check. Whit planet is the wanker on?
His little failed PR exercise will achieve absolutely fuck all apart frae making something available in the rest of the country not available here.
Is there any evidence whatsoever that someone has been a victim of knife crime from wan of these knives?

Im pretty sure they dont record the "source" of the knife ie where its bought, to say they dont use these knives in crime is assuming quite a bit.
Is there any evidence to the contrary?
I hate McKenzie as much as the next person and I know fine well he just spouting what he thinks will get him in the good books, but again, I make no apologies in the fact that IM glad the offer has been withdrawn.

What ye's gettin yer knickers in a twist for anyway, cos yer chance of saving a few quid on some knives is up the swannae really? Im guessing you can still buy "knives" at tesco's, some of you should chill out and see the bigger picture

Probably because the MAJORITY of knife crime takes place in the home and not out on the streets. Apart from the over-hyping of knife crime, now we have jumped up arseholes like mckenzie over-hyping a supermarket offer Again any evidence whatsoever that this offer has caused knife-crime to go up in any way? The actual facts are that knife crime has been falling along with crime in general.

This would make good material for Kevin Bridges
Greenock: Knife Crime Blackspot
Tesco's: 70% off knives!
That really is the irony of the situation
