Yes a waste of money but compared to the horse and the Steel Madonna with the big boobys in Gray place it is a lot nicer I quite like it but it was not needed

There are a lot of things that could have been done with the money, I have to admit she is beautiful and well made, when I look at her I feel a sense of freedom, but she wont keep you warm, feed you when your hungry or shelter you from the cold.
To me she represents freedom of the future .

yea there is so much more that could be done with the money rather than daft statues....our roads are in a hell of a mess but nothing seems to be done about them....

There will always be pot holes here, I swear it is a training area for trial and error. Lets face it , our roads are a disgrace but the council will tell you that they have nothing to do with the roads dept.

i remember seeing cones on the road and thinking yes they are going to do repairs....
no one turns up just the cones on the road
the hole is dug but there is no one there
the hole is filled but there is only cones there
the cones disappear but no one saw a workman or a van.....
this actually happened to me years ago

It also has to be noted that Amey builds in, 'planned obsolescence'. Their contract is managed DOWN to a price so we get the crappiest job. I have often wondered why this company always get's selected again given that their work is so shoddy..............or maybe I don't wonder!!!!!!!!!
